Blanche Carpenter Manuel, 95 of Sulphur passed away on January 13, 2013 in a local care center. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Oaklin Springs Cemetery in Oberlin, LA with Rev. Lamar Huffman officiating under the direction of Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. at Robison Funeral Home. Blanch was a native of Allen Parish and lived in Sulphur for the past 15 years. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Sulphur and loved spending time with her family and friends. Blanche is survived by her son, Wilford Manuel and wife, Ruby of Sulphur; 8 grandchildren, Deborah Navarre and husband, Jareth of Sulphur, Sandra Miller and husband, Mark of Poplar WI, Mark Manuel of Covington, LA, Wilford Cox and wife, Regina and Verlynda Towery and husband, Tim all of Gordon, GA, Lanier Cox of Milledgeville, GA, Katrina Sanders and husband, Scott of DeVille, LA and Macia Luxingburg and husband, Dave of Elizabeth, LA; 17 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilford Manuel Sr.; son, Howard Manuel; daughter, Barbara Cox, 2 brothers, Anderson Carpenter and Lawrence Carpenter; 2 sisters, Clara Campbell and Eugeina Sharp.
