Bobbie Madison Whaley

Bobbie Lou Whaley, 89 years old, passed away Monday, January 23, 2023.  She was born on May 6, 1933 to Robert L. and Louisa Savoie Madison in Creole, LA.

To know Bobbie was a privilege.  To be loved by her was a blessing.  Bobbie loved people.  She loved being outside, swinging in the sun, walking around, raking leaves.  She enjoyed coke and sweets.  She loved singing songs about Jesus and telling stories about her growing up and working at the Army Store.  She loved cooking on Sundays for her entire family.  Most of all, she loved her family and her husband more than anything.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Cathey Beard (Floyd), Terry Whaley, Rickey Whaley (Jan); her brother, James Madison; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Murray Phillip Whaley; her sister, Betty Ray Hathaway; and her brothers, Harold Lee Madison and John Paul Madison.

A private graveside burial service will be held in Sallier Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
