Bobbie Murray Bastow

Bobbie Lee Murray Bastow, 71, of Lake Charles passed away Friday November 16, 2012 in a local care facility.

Mrs. Bastow was raised in and lived most of her life in Lake Charles. She was a graduate of St. Charles Academy. She worked for several companies as a bookkeeper, having retired with Bechtel Construction. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and family. Mrs. Bastow attended St. Margaret Catholic Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory, three children, Jimmy Dean Bastow and wife Jackie of Lake Charles; Debbie Kathleen Bastow of Jackson, LA and Kimberly Janiece Miller and husband Craig of Lake Charles; two grandchildren, Megan Miller and Elizabeth Miller, both of Lake Charles; two brothers, Richard Murray and wife Barbara of Picayune, MS and Robert Murray and wife Susie of Houston, TX and one sister, Janice Hill and husband Vernon of Lake Charles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, A.L. and Mary Sagona Murray; her husband of thirty-six years, Orval George Bastow and an infant son, Orval George Bastow, Jr.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 20, 2012 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor Jace Eskind will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation Monday will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. Visitation Tuesday will be from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
