Bobby Glenn Downs

Bobby Glenn Downs, 58, of Iowa, Louisiana died at 7:17 PM Monday, December 27, 2010 in Jennings Louisiana.

Mr. Downs was born in Leesville, Louisiana and has lived in LeBleu Settlement for the past16 years. He was a 1972 graduate of Westlake High School. Bobby worked as a pipefitter for many years and was a member of Pipe Fitters Local # 106. In his spare time he loved to watch the LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints play football.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 27 years Susan Downs, one son Cody Dwayne Downs both of LeBleu Settlement, two sisters Dorothy "Dot" Mouton and husband E.J of Iowa, LA, and Carolyn Benoit and husband Lynn of LeBleu Settlement.

Mr. Downs is preceded in death by his parents Gervie and Marlin Downs, two brothers Dwayne and Michael Downs, one sister Mary Miller.

His funeral will be held on Friday, December 31, 2010 at 11:00 AM from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Rick Batchelor will officiate. Graveside services will be in Holly Grove Cemetery in Anacoco, Louisiana at 3:00 PM. Visitation will begin on Friday at 9:00 AM until the time of services in the funeral home.
