Bobby Paul Douget

Bobby Paul Douget, 68, of Lake Charles passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014 in a local healthcare facility. Bobby was born November 14, 1946 in Mamou, LA to Elfage and Nola Duplechain Douget. He lived most of his life in Lake Charles. Bobby was a flooring installer, owned Bobby's Floor Covering and was specially trained. He also owned his own Screen Print Shop, Special T's, as well as, Bobby's Frozen Margarita's. He could almost always be found participating in trail rides and was a member of W&L Trail Riders. Bobby especially loved French music and dancing, festival of Mardi Gras and Mardi Gras Balls. It was his favorite season, as it brought together friends, trail rides, chicken runs, French music and lots of dancing. Bobby will be most remembered as a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, a loyal friend and a man who enjoyed good times. He leaves to honor his memory, two daughters, Dayna Kottmeier and husband Matt of Dallas, TX and Ashley Douget of Lake Charles; three grandchildren, Skylar, Kade and Renner; one great-granddaughter, Akéla; two brothers, Jasper J. Douget and wife Lois and Rogers Douget and one sister, Patricia Ann Douget. Bobby's family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Robby Dubois for all he has done for Bobby and his family throughout his illness. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Celebration of Life remembrance will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home. Gathering of friends Sunday will be from 1:00 PM until the conclusion of celebration in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the family.
