Bobby Ray Denton " 9/19/1940-11/10/2012 - has made the transition to our Fathers house where there are many mansions. His place has been prepared. Bobby died after a courageous fight with lung cancer. He was a prince among men. Bobby was an avid antique collector and seller. He loved the hunt of finding a new treasure and his weekends were spent perusing the newspaper for estate and garage sales. Many of his friends were met along the way to the sales. Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Willie Harmon Catfish Denton , mother Bessie Jane Aron-Denton, and only brother Joe Russell Denton. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved sister Mattie Denton-Borel, nephews Michael David Borel, Sr. and wife Peggy, Mark Adam Borel; nieces Deborah Ann Borel-Ploeger and husband Kurt, Cynthia Ann Borel-Henning, Victoria Ray and husband Jim, Peggy Thousand and husband Dwight, great grand nephews and nieces, Allen and Travis Henning, Lauren Sanders, Michael Borel, Jr., Christy Borel, David Borel, Anne Kate Borel, Gary Wade Borel. Also left to celebrate his life is one uncle, James Isaac Denton, plus many other great nieces, nephews and a multitude of many cousins and friends. The funeral will be held at Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur, LA at 2:30 P.M. November 12, 2012. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly, LA. Visitation will be from 5-9 Sunday and Monday, from 1:00 P.M till time of service.
