Bonnie "Boogie" Dale Sullivan

Bonnie “Boogie” Dale Sullivan passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023 in a local hospital.  Mrs. Sullivan was born February 7, 1940 in Lake Charles, LA to Collin Long and Eula Roberts Long.  Bonnie loved her family and would do anything for them.  She was a strong, loyal, loving woman who loved to laugh, and enjoyed family gatherings and making meals for her family.  She was an encourager and loved watching her kids’ ballgames and pageants.  In her early years she was a telephone operator for Southern Bell, and also worked at Calcasieu Marine Bank Downtown and Lakeside Bank in Moss Bluff.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 63 years, Joe Sullivan; children, (twin boys) Ricky Sullivan (Dawn) & Randy Sullivan (Kim), Jody Sullivan (Kathy) and Sheree Johnson (James); grandchildren, Ashley, Laikin, Kyle, Garrett, Lesley, Donnie, Justin, Lindsey, Todd, Daniel, Cody, and Taylor; 12 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Stanley Long.  

She was preceded in death by her children, Tina Marie Sullivan and Gregory Todd Sullivan; her parents; brother, Urdale Long and a half-sister, Lois DeMarit.

Funeral Services will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Monday, July 24, 2023 at 11:00 am with Rev. Glenn Ducharme and Rev. Bill Saxby officiating.  Burial will take place in Birdnest Cemetery following the service.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, July 23, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and will continue on Monday from 10:00 am until the service time.
