Bonnie Jean Friend (Walden), 74, passed away on March 2, 2025, in Sulphur, Louisiana. She was born on January 27, 1951, in Michigan City, Indiana. Bonnie was a strong and independent woman who worked tirelessly throughout her life to provide for her family. A devoted mother to her three daughters, she raised them with love, resilience, and the values of hard work and perseverance. She dedicated herself to ensuring a better future for her children and faced every challenge with courage and grace. Her unwavering love and support shaped the lives of those she held dear, and her strength will remain an inspiration to all who knew her. Bonnie had a deep appreciation for nature and found joy in working with plants and flowers. She also had a passion for fashion, with a particular love for shoes and clothing. Her faith was an important part of her life, she was baptized at the age of seven and remained dedicated to reading her daily scriptures. She is survived by her daughters Terri Jackson-Garringer (James Garringer) and Brandi Jackson-Harris (Dustin "Dusty" Harris); grandchildren Derek Killingbeck (Leeah Oxley-Killingbeck), Chelsea Killingbeck-Rhoda (Josh Rhoda), Skyler Killingbeck, Nolan Garringer, and Amelia Harris; great-grandchildren Grayson Rhoda and Avery Rhoda; siblings Tony Walden, Roberta Carlene Walden-Knoll, and Robert Walden. She was preceded in death by her daughter Tammy Hollihan-Killingbeck; husband Robert Friend; parents Jewel Eaton-Walden and George Walden; and sisters Joyce Darlene Walden-Comer and Rosetta Walden-Loggins Her presence will be deeply missed, but the lessons she taught and the love she shared will live on forever. In honoring her memory, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, sacrifice, and unwavering strength.
