Brenda Ann Benoit

Brenda Ann Benoit, 72, a lifelong resident of Sulphur, LA, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday December 7, 2021, in her home with her husband of 55 years, Edward by her side.

Brenda was born on June 10, 1949, to Clarence Sr. and Dorothy Landry in Abbeville, LA.  She was involved in her church and faith in many aspects including being a lector at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church and an active member of the LaSalette Blanket Ministry.  Brenda enjoyed participating in the many activities offered by SWLA Mardi Gras and the Sulphur Senior Citizen Center where she made many new friends.  She adored being a member of the Mermaid Cuties at SPAR which included water aerobics and appreciating life together while having lots of fun.  She was passionate about sewing, traveling and shopping… ready at a moment’s notice!  She loved each one of her children and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Edward Benoit;  sons Wendell Benoit (Stephanie), Tim Benoit (Tammy); daughters, Angie Ortego (Doug), Ashley White (Jeremy), Aimee Henry (Joshua); grandchildren Josh Benoit, Amber Benoit, Cody Benoit (Christy), Dylan Benoit (Alyssa), Hallie Hantz, Hadley Hantz, Kelsie Clanton (Josh), Kade White, Kip White, Bryceson Henry, Brenna Henry, Bree Henry, Briella Henry, Braylee Henry, Bretta Henry, 7 great-grandchildren, 9 siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

A Catholic Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday December 13, 2021, at Our Lady of LaSalette in Sulphur, La. with Father Andrews officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 12, 2021, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. A Cursillo Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday. Visitation will resume Monday morning at 8 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Mimosa Pines Cemetery following Mass.
