Brenda Charles

Brenda Ann Charles, 54, of Lake Charles, LA died at 6:02 AM on Friday, March 11, 2011 in a local hospital.

Ms. Charles was born July 30, 1956 in Lafayette, LA and was a 1974 graduate of North Side High School. She has lived in Lake Charles for the past thirty-one years. A Jehovah Witness, she was very loyal and faithful to her ministry, having been a teacher of faith to many students. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family. Brenda will always be remembered as an outgoing, happy person and a wonderful and loving mother, wife, daughter, and sister. She will be greatly missed.

Ms. Charles is survived by her sons, Lacrinza Chapman and wife Naomi of Opelousas and Quentin Chapman of Breaux Bridge; three grandchildren; mother, Mazel Charles of Lafayette; siblings, Donald Charles and wife Cynthia, Harold Charles and wife Eve, Jerome Charles and wife Brenda, Diane Charles, Ricky Charles and fiance'e Janine and Cynthia Fredericks and husband Leroy; and the father of her sons, Kenneth Chapman.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Charles and sister, Lillian Jones.

Her memorial service will be at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Kingdom Hall on Alma Drive. She was cremated under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
