Brenda Clair Wiggins Guidry

Brenda Clair Guidry, 52, of Lake Charles, died Wednesday October 31, 2012 at a local hospital with her family at her side following a brief illness.

Brenda was born in Lake Charles to J.T and Norma Falcon Wiggins. She was a Para-Professional at College Oaks Elementary School. She was very active in her community, as a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, PTO of College Oaks Elementary and an assistant leader for both Girl and Boy Scouts.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her loving husband of 32 years, Jerald Guidry; son, Logan Guidry and daughter, Hayley Guidry; two sisters, Patricia Davis and Katherine Romero; a niece, Amanda Fuselier; two nephews, Heath Davis and Karl Romero, all of Lake Charles and of host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be today, November 2, 2012 at Johnson Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue Saturday at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM with a funeral mass being held at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel with Father Alan Trouille presiding. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.

The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the nurses, doctors and staff of the Emergency room and ICU of Christus Saint Patrick Hospital for the excellent care that was shown to Brenda during her brief illness. Brenda and her family shared her gift of life with many others, as she elected to be an organ donor through Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency.
