Brenda Gray Devillier

Brenda Gray Devillier, 68, of Lake Charles, died Wednesday September 11, 2013 in a local hospital surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Devillier was born in El Dorado, Arkansas on May 11, 1945 to Frank and Irene Milner Sweezy. She was a longtime resident of Lake Charles, a homemaker and member of Grand Lake Faith Temple, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Joseph "Cleve" Devillier, Lake Charles; a son, Michael Devillier and wife Cathy Breaux, Lake Charles; daughter, Soronna Savoie and husband Troy, Fordoche, LA; grandchildren, Joshua Devillier and wife Candace, Lake Charles; Shelby Devillier, Brittany Munson and husband Chad, New Roads, LA and Matthew Savoie, Fordoche, LA and two great grandchildren, Braylee Devillier and Wyatt Munson. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Friday, September 13, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with a service of remembrance at 7:00 PM, and from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM Saturday September 14, at Johnson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 3:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Andrew Martin officiating. Burial will be at Prien Memorial Park. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks and gratitude for the special care and attention shown to our wife and mother by Dr. Michael Broussard and the nurses and staff of Lake Charles Memorial Hospital and Amedisys Hospice.
