Brenda Gale Holbrook Hogan, 63, of Lake Charles, was welcomed into heaven at 2:57 AM on Friday, January 17, 2025, in a local hospice facility.
Brenda was born on January 31, 1961, in Lake Charles where she was a lifelong resident and a graduate of Barbe High School. She furthered her education, receiving a business degree from Delta Technical College. After graduating, she embarked on a career in the accounting department, dedicating over 35 years to the field. Brenda attended both Our Lady Queen of Heaven and St. Martin de Porres Catholic Churches.
Above all, Brenda cherished her family. As a devoted mother and grandmother, she was the heart and soul of her loved ones. Her love was unconditional and she poured her heart into her children. Her most treasured title was "Nana," to her grandchildren - a role she embraced wholeheartedly. Nana could often be found hosting dance parties with her grandchildren in the kitchen or cheering proudly for them at every event. Regardless of how big or small the occasion, she was always there offering unwavering support and encouragement. With a passion for cooking, she delighted in preparing delicious meals that brought her family together.
Additionally, Brenda loved the outdoors and was known for her green thumb, effortlessly cultivating a beautiful garden that reflected her nurturing spirit.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Dana Delucca, Katie Hogan (Josh Qualls), Tyler Hogan, and Matthew Hogan; siblings Danny Hayes (Barbara), Janelle Farmer, and Gaynell Romero (late husband, Scott); many nieces and nephews; and nine grandchildren-Kaylie, Braylon, Madelynn, Jaxon, Dawson, Jace, Parker, Olivia, and Addisyn; and one great-grandson, Zakai.
She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Pat Hogan, and parents, Henry and Helen Holbrook.
