Brenda Joyce Shuff

Brenda Joyce Shuff, 62, of Sulphur died at 10:05 AM Friday, September 7, 2012 in her residence with her loving family at her side.

Mrs. Shuff was born on August 12, 1950 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to the parents of C.J. and Peggy Hebert. She attended LaGrange High School. Mrs. Shuff has been a resident of the Sulphur area for the past 32 years. She worked as a Deputy and as an ID Clerk for the Calcasieu Parish Sherriff's Office. Mrs. Shuff was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church. She loved to spend time with her horses and dogs around the house. Mrs. Shuff enjoyed her Saints Football every Sunday. She once won the title of Mrs. National Quarter Horse back in 1966. She was also a member of the Silver Spurs Riders Club in Sulphur.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years Carroll Shuff of Sulphur, LA, one daughter, Lesley Shuff , one son, Chad Shuff both of Lake Charles, one sister Claudia Low and her husband David of Welsh, LA, one brother Jeff Hebert of Greenwood, Indiana, one granddaughter Adriana Shuff of Atlanta, GA.

She is preceded in death by her parents C.J. and Peggy Hebert.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 1:000 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Deacon George Carr will officiate. Burial will be in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Sunday at 11:00 AM until 9 PM with a rosary to be held at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday at 8:00 AM until the time of services.
