Brenda Manning Breaux

Brenda Joyce Manning Breaux, a loving mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2023, at Lake Charles Care Center in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Born on January 11, 1940, in Beaumont, Texas

Brenda was preceded in death by her loving parents Travis Manning Sr and Dorothy LeBlanc Manning. Also gone before her was her husband of 44 years Algie Breaux and Brother Travis Manning Jr.

Throughout her life, Brenda dedicated herself to her family as a devoted homemaker. She was an avid sports fan, especially the New Orleans Saints. She loved Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs but not near as much as Country legend George Strait! When her boys were younger she was one of their biggest fans, never missing a game!

Brenda was the life of the party, whether she was going to countless Fire Chief conventions, traveling all over with some of their best friends or being the wife to the Leader of the Band, Algie Breaux and the Buccaneers. She was known for her beauty and great sense of humor! In short, She Was Just Fun!

Brenda is survived by her loving sons, Timothy Breaux and his wife Denise, and Russell Breaux; her brother, Kenneth Earl Manning and his wife Wanda; and her grandchildren, Jewel Breaux and Danielle Vickers. She will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her, and her memory will forever be cherished.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Adrianna Rene and Barbara Watson of Lake Charles Care Center, as well as the compassionate nurses and staff of Heart of Hospice, for the tender care they provided to Brenda during her final days. Their dedication and kindness brought comfort and solace to both Brenda and her loved ones.

Brenda’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 8, 2023 in the Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles Chapel. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service, with a rosary being recited at 1:00 PM.

Pallbearers will be Allen Theriot, Mark Kraus, Paul Cormier, Benny Allee, Anthony Dallas and Scott Creel.
