Brennan Wade Daigle

Brennan Wade Daigle, 10, of Westlake, went home to be the Lord, Thursday, May 5, 2011 from the comfort of his home. "He fought the good fight and won the battle".


Brennan was born in Lake Charles and has been a life resident of Westlake. He attended Western Heights Elementary where he played basketball. Brennan enjoyed hunting, fishing and target shooting. His greatest memories were having been sworn in as United States Army honorary 1st Sergeant and then promoted to full Colonel. He was also honored as mayor for the day and given keys to the City of Westlake and Sulphur and was recognized by Gov. Bobby Jindal for his strength and courage.


Brennan was a member of Houston River Baptist Church where he was a Royal Ambassadors.


Brennan will be most remembered as the Founder of "Colors for a Cause Foundation" and for living his life verse, Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me".


He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Albert L. and Kristy Hutchison Daigle of Westlake; one sister, Lauren Nicole Daigle of Westlake; paternal grandfather, L.J. Daigle of Lake Charles; maternal grandparents, Herbert and Scherry Hutchinson of Kirbyville, TX; paternal great- grandmother, Eva Williams of Lake Charles; maternal great- grandparents, Frank and Clara Reeves of Kirbyville, TX; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and devoted friends, Donald Sonnier and Kaleb Mouton.


He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Geneva Carter Daigle and maternal grandmother, Valerie Reeves Hutchison.


Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, May 9, 2011 in Houston River Baptist Church in Sulphur. Rev. Lonnie L. Gothrup will officiate. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake. Visitation will be at the church, Sunday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
