Brett Allen

May 30, 1983 — January 26, 2024

Brett Warren Allen “Ace” entered into the gates of heaven on Friday, January 26, 2024.

He was born on May 30, 1983, to Warren and Ellice Allen in Lake Charles. Brett graduated from Barbe High School in 2001 and earned a business degree from McNeese State University in 2007. He worked as a manager at the only job he ever knew, House of Interiors, the family business. A proud member of the MSU Cowboy Club since 2015 and a member of University United Methodist Church in Lake Charles.

An avid sports enthusiast, in his high school and college years he played baseball, basketball, select soccer, softball, and still enjoyed golf with his buddies. His passion extended beyond playing; he also coached tournament baseball from 2012 to 2023, leaving a positive impact on numerous young athletes in the Lake Charles area. If he wasn’t coaching baseball, he was cheering on his nieces, attending MSU games, or cooking with friends. Brett’s love for sports, family and friends showed brightly.
Brett’s radiant smile was not just a physical feature but a symbol of his generous and welcoming spirit. His tight, comforting hugs and golden heart left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. Brett’s dedication to family, especially his two nieces and bonus niece, showcased the depth of his love and commitment.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Warren and Ellice Allen; sister, Ashley (Wesley) Hughes of Sulphur; brother, Clayton (Garance) Allen of Austin; two nieces, Audrey and Briley Hughes of Sulphur; and bonus niece, Clara Brinck; grandmother, Bernadette Allen of Lake Charles; great aunt, Glenda Hagan of Dry Creek; and great uncle, Dale (Carolyn) Sigler of Lake Charles; along with uncle, David (Pam) Tarasiewicz of Sulphur; and aunt, Melissa Tarasiewicz of Sulphur; aunt, Connie (Clint) Johnson from Benton, Arkansas and Dianne Allen from Sulphur; and countless players, friends and family.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Anita Tarasiewicz and Jack Allen, as well as his uncle, Joey Tarasiewicz and other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be: Austin Nagle, Adam Killgore, Billy Moreaux, Beau Dark, Blaine Teeter, David Spencer, Bobby Holland, Rusty Carter, and Samuel Moss
