Brian James Mire, age 59, passed away on Thursday May 30, 2024 in Vinton, LA. Born February 13, 1965 in Sulphur, LA, he was the second born to his parents Carroll John Mire and Grace Sarver Mire.

Brian was a lifelong resident of Sulphur. He graduated from Sulphur High School in 1983 and later married Joni Trotta Mire.

Brian was a skilled pipefitter and welder who dedicated his career to ConocoPhillips and Turner Industries at various refineries from Southwest Louisiana to Texas, California, Washington, and Aruba.

Brian loved spending time in the Louisiana outdoors duck hunting, deer hunting, and fishing. He was a passionate animal lover and had several dogs and cats throughout the years which he cared for like his children. Brian had a passion for music and was a dedicated listener of Eric Clapton, The Allman Brothers Band, and the Eagles. He loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles and even took his bike on road trips across the country in the 90s. He deeply cherished his time spent with family and friends.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents Carroll John Mire and Grace Sarver Mire.

Brian leaves behind his two brothers, Michael Mire and wife Susan, and Christopher Mire, both of Sulphur, and wife Joni Mire of Arkansas.

Brian’s ashes will be buried in a private graveside memorial at Antioch Cemetery in Edgerly.

The family would like to acknowledge Christina Istre O’Quain and Judy Louviere Laughlin for their love, support, and care for Brian in recent years.
