Brian Keith Broussard, 52, of Moss Bluff died at 12:16 AM on Sunday, December 14, 2014 in a local hospice facility. Mr. Broussard was born on March 4, 1962 in Lake Charles, LA and resided in the Westlake/Moss Bluff area all of his life. He was a graduate of Westlake High School. Mr. Broussard was a master carpenter who worked for numerous contractors in the lake area since the age of 16. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time outdoors. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tambria "Tammy" Bergeron Broussard; a daughter, Rachel Broussard and her fiancé Max Holtzclaw of Moss Bluff; a son, Simon Murphy Broussard of Moss Bluff; one granddaughter, Cora Faith Busby of Lake Charles; a sister, Debbie Hogan and husband James of Moss Bluff; a brother, Ricky Broussard and wife Cathy of Houston, TX; and two step sons, Jason and Jacob Corder, two step grandchildren, Cameron F. Corder and Jada Mae Corder. He also leaves behind his furry companion, Lilly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Murphy Simon Broussard and Clarice Richard Routhier. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at St. Theodore Catholic Church. Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a Cursillo rosary being held at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday in the church from 9:00 AM until the start of the service. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the emergency room staff at Christus St. Patrick's Hospital and to the staff at Harbor Hospice for their exceptional care during Brian's last days.
