Bridget Anne Rytkonen Lund, 85, of Moss Bluff, LA died at 10:49 PM on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 in a local hospital. Mrs. Lund was born December 18, 1928 in Helsinki, Finland, receiving her education in the textile arts. She then married Lars Lund in Finland in 1951. Anne and Lars moved to England so that Lars could further his education; she even helped him type his Doctoral Thesis. After living in England, they returned to Finland to begin their family. Her husband was transferred to Pennsylvania in 1964 and she was active in a various clubs throughout the years. She later moved to Baton Rouge and then to Lake Charles area, residing in Moss Bluff. She was very active with the Calcasieu Needle Artist and Embroiders Guild of American and was always active in promoting her Finnish culture and the textile arts. In her later years, she was an active member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, where she created many church banners and was a profuse knitter until the end. Anne. Lund is survived by her sons, E. Pete Lund of Moss Bluff and L. Kris Lund of Lafayette, LA; daughters, Annette Pressler and husband Norman of Zachary, LA and Christine Miller and husband Tom of Baton Rouge, LA; five grandchildren, Kristie Phillips, Bonnie Pressler, Erik Pressler, Michael Miller and Julie McLaury; and four great-grandchildren, Kavan, Cambrie, Caden, and Brennan. Her memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Sulphur, LA. Reverend Petroula Ruehlen will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church Memorial Fund.
