Bronson Wayne Cole

May 14, 1971 — September 18, 2021

Bronson Wayne Cole was born May 14, 1971 in Birmingham, Alabama to Darrell Wayne and Peggy Joyce Cole.

Birmingham is where he grew up, attending Leeds High School, graduating class of 1991. While in school he worked at Food World and it was here he met his bride to-be, Angela. He was a determined young gentleman, he knew she was the one, even telling his mother before properly meeting her. His determination drove him into the managers office to get her name and number from her job application. Angela says it was his charm and personality that won her over.

Upon graduating, he enlisted into the United States Navy, and on June 13, 1992 after completing Basic Training he and Angela exchanged vows and together they welcomed two children. He served four years active duty in Virgina Beach with the Navy. Then began working in the Navy Reserves for another twenty years. Later moving back to Alabama where he was a deputy sheriff for Jefferson County. Then moving to Kentucky after accepting a job working for the DOE as security forces. Most recently he was employed with Strategic Petroleum Reserve in Hackberry as a field operator.

Family was the most important thing in his life, when he was not at work he was spending time with them. Holidays were always planned accordingly so they could travel to see his family, in-laws, extended family and friends. He enjoyed watching sports, he loved his boys of the Alabama football team “ROLL TIDE”, or rooting for the Cardinals, Braves, or Astros during Baseball season. Together they enjoyed fishing, discovering new honey holes, and experiencing the thrill of offshore fishing.

He was welcomed into Heaven on September 18, 2021 by his paternal grandparents, Hershel “Paw Paw” & Jackie “Granny” Cole; maternal grandparents, Oscar and Anna Bell Hoyle; and an uncle, Arlyn G. Lockley and Ronnie Hoyle.

Those left to cherish his memory and perfect his dance moves; his wife of twenty-nine years, Angela Cole; daughters, Brittany (Tyler) McCuiston and Haley B. Cole; a grandson due to arrive this winter; his parents, Darrell and Peggy Cole; siblings, Brandon Cole, siblings in-love, Frankie Batha, Kenneth (Annie) Batha, Lee Batha, Lisa (Justin) Boyter, and Christine (Doug Buesking) Batha; numerous nieces and nephews; his in-laws, Nho Thi “Leeann” and Frank Milton Batha Jr. as well as many friends and colleagues.

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Church at the Bradford in Springville, AL with burial at Liberty Cemetery to follow.
