Bruce Allen Sparks

Bruce Allen Sparks, 49, of Lake Charles passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013 in the comfort of his home. Mr. Sparks was born and raised in Illinois, moved to Zwolle, LA his freshman year of High School and has lived his adult life in Louisiana in a setting he dearly loved. He worked several years as an Electrician and was currently working for DuPont. Mr. Sparks was an avid outdoors-man as his greatest times were spent fishing, hunting, and cheering on the New Orleans Saints. He will be most remembered as a selfless man, always willing to do anything to help others and as a person who was very jovial and liked to make others laugh. Bruce always recognized the best in others. He leaves to honor his memory, his sister, Terri Sparks Edens and husband Dale of Secor, IL; brother, Gary Sparks of Ziegler, IL; half sister, Lynda Shear of Chicago, IL; step-mother, Barbara Sparks of Zwolle; step-sister Ann Brown of Peoria, IL; step-sister Jan Darcie of Zwolle; his companion, Darlene Denton of Lake Charles and many nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Sparks was preceded in death by his parents, Willard E. and Loretta Murphy Sparks and one brother-Dennis E. Sparks. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Aimwell Baptist Church in Zwolle, LA. Gathering of family and friends will be from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM. Interment will follow in Aimwell Baptist Church Cemetery.
