Bryon Scott Brockes

Bryon Scott Brockes, 38, of Lake Charles died at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 in his residence.

Bryon was born on October 4, 1974 in Lake Charles. He lived most of his life here and was a graduate of Barbe High School. Bryon served in the U.S. Army for thirteen years as a Military Police Officer, having served in Bosnia, Korea, Desert Storm, two tours in Iraq, and also serving in Afghanistan. He was currently employed in the oil field industry with Wright Well Control Services.

Those left to cherish his memory are his father, Dale Brockes and wife Ethel of Lake Charles; his sister, Monica Smith and husband David of Sulphur; his maternal grandfather, Pete Lavergne of Lake Charles; and his paternal grandfather, Robert Brockes of Belton, TX.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosa Brockes.

Visitation will begin on Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with cremation to follow.
