Byron Wayne Cloyd

Byron “Wayne” Cloyd 87 passed away Thursday April 20th at West Cal-Cam Hospital.

Wayne was born August 6th, 1935, in West Monroe, but was a lifelong resident of Sulphur Louisiana. In 1953, he married Alice Gaar. Wayne retired from Gulf States Utilities in 1994. He enjoyed driving and traveling with his wife of almost 70 years. He was also an avid LSU baseball fan. 

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Sam and Coleen Cloyd; brother, Wilford Cloyd; son, Michael Cloyd; and daughter Cindy Kiser.

He is survived by his wife Alice; daughter, Monica Cloyd; daughter-in-law Donna Cloyd; and son-in-law Calvin Kiser.
Four grandchildren, Brian Cloyd, Dereck (Aimee) Cloyd, Casey Solieu, and Laurynn (Luke) Doucet; and 8 great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff in the ICU at West Cal-Cam Hospital.
