Caleb Stephen Holton

June 28, 1981 — May 3, 2024

On May 3, 2024, Caleb Stephen Holton, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and nephew left this Earth to join the Lord at the age of 42.

He was the first born on June 28, 1981, to his two loving and devoted parents.

Throughout the years, Caleb brought joy, laughter, and love to his family. He had a close connection with each of his family members which served as a testament to the rare kindheartedness that embodied his beautiful spirit. That kindness was accompanied by his natural feeling of responsibility to serve as a protector to everyone that he cared about while never wishing harm to anyone.

Caleb graduated from Barbe High School and attended McNeese State University as well as SOWELA Technical College. He was a resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana for most of his life and also lived in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for extended periods of time.

Caleb had a multitude of friends, each of which he cherished and loved dearly who, if you asked, would tell you that “To know Caleb was to love Caleb!”

He worked various jobs and was certified as a Personal Trainer by Cooper Institute in Dallas, Texas. One of his most proudly held positions was serving as a Personal Assistant to Christian Minister Dr. Mike Mudoch in Dallas, Texas.

Caleb loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed singing and rapping. He also enjoyed working out and training his friends who jokingly would say as they flexed their muscles “Body by Caleb.”

As our former pastor Stephen Perry penned, “Champions have the courage to turn the page because they know a better chapter lies ahead.” Caleb became that champion on the evening of May 3rd when he turned the page of his final chapter in this life to eternal life with Jesus.

Caleb is survived by his father and mother, Philip and Arthell Henning Holton; his sister Holly Holton-Bieschke (Sean), brother, Joshua Holton (Tana); his nephews, Joshua A. Holton, Bodhi Bieschke, Barrett Bieschke as well as many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceding him in death are his paternal grandparents, Rev. Howard and Jackie Holton; maternal grandparents, Nelson and Betty (Helen) Henning, uncle, Rev. David Holton and cousin, Heather Bowers.

Caleb was not just “anyone” he was “our Son.”

Funeral services were held on May 9, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles with Caleb’s uncle Rev. Jimmy Lormand officiating, remarks and obituary by his sister, Holly Holton-Bieschke and sharing by his mother, Arthell Holton.

Joshua Phillip Holton, Joshua Alexander Holton, Samuel Bowers, Hayden Guidry, Chance Sloan, Darryl Hudson, Darrell Turner, and James Devillier were Pallbearers. Burial followed the service at Highland Memory Gardens.

“If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world.”
– C.S. Lewis
