Calvin Boutte

Calvin Boutte, 75, of Lake Charles passed away at 10:05 PM on Saturday, September 14, 2019 in a local hospice facility.

Mr. Boutte was born on January 18, 1944 in New Iberia.  His family moved to Lake Charles in 1955 where he was a 1964 Washington High School graduate.  Mr. Boutte retired as a foreman for Mobile Oil/Exxon Mobile Oil after nearly 30 years of service.  He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church. 

He was an influential supporter of Washington Marion High School’s football and basketball teams.  Mr. Boutte allowed many children to be able to play in these sports by sponsoring them and by helping their families financially.  He could be found in the stands cheering on the players for every game.

A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at St. Henry Catholic Church.  Father Matthew Cormier will officiate.  Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.  Visitation will begin on Thursday in the funeral home from 10:00 AM until leaving for the church at 12:30 PM with a rosary to be recited at 12:00 PM.
