Candace Elaine Sanderlin Hebert Candace Elaine Sanderlin Hebert lost her courageous battle with cancer on November 20, 2013. Born on December 19, 1955 in Tulsa, OK, Candace spent most of her early childhood in West Texas. After attending prep school at the American School of London she graduated from Sulphur High School. She earned a BA and Masters Degree in Education from McNeese State University. Candace retired from teaching after 30 years in Calcasieu and Cameron Parish School Systems. Candace enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends. Her hobbies were gardening and arranging flowers. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her husband of 31 years Danny Hebert; son, Daniel Hebert and wife Christina; two granddaughters, Grace and Therese Hebert; sister, Vicky Hand and husband, Harvey of Lake Charles; brother, Warner Sanderlin and wife Susan of Tomball, Tx.; step mother, Sue Sanderlin; step sisters, Karina Coulter and husband Ivan and Renee' Sanderlin of Dublin, Ireland and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Marilyn Crabtree Sanderlin and father James Sanderlin. Funeral Service will be Friday, November 22, 2013 at 1pm at St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Father Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, November 21, 2013 4:00pm-9:00pm and Friday, November 22, 2013 9AM- 12:30 at Johnson Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited Thursday at 6:30pm. .
