Candice Irene Dyson, 63, of Lake Charles died at 8:50 AM Friday, January 24, 2014 in her residence with her loving family at her side. Candice was born on October 19, 1950 to the parents of Helen and Frank Padilla. She has lived in Lake Charles since 1985. Mrs. Dyson was in Retail Sales working for different companies such as The Avenue, Dress Barn, and Layne Bryant. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Cross City, Florida. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and also a member of the Million Dollar Club with Dress Barn Department Store. Mrs. Dyson loved to shop and travel throughout the country. She loved to help her sister with cheerleading practice and loved to bake cakes in her spare time. She also loved spending time with all six of her grandchildren. Mrs. Dyson is survived by her husband of 47 years Mr. Roger Dyson Sr. of Lake Charles, LA one daughter, Charlene Daniels of Cross City, FL, one son, Roger Dyson II and his wife Laurie of Lake Charles, LA, her parents, Helen and Frank Padilla, one brother, Frank Padilla and his wife Mary Jo of Bell, FL, two sisters, Penny Miller and her husband Pete of Cross City, FL, and Melody Rollison and husband Dwayne of Cross City, FL, six grandchildren: Courtney and Cory Daniels, Alexandra, Caroline, Briley, and Jack Dyson. Her funeral will be held on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Grady O'Neal will officiate. Burial will be in Sunshine Acres in Cross City, FL. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the time of services in the funeral home.
