Carey Mcmillan

Carey "Mac" McMillan, 75, of Carlyss passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2014. Mac was a member of the Masonic Lodge 165 for 46 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Mac loved to cook and spend time with his family. He was an avid outdoorsman. Mac lived his life large. He loved people and had a compassionate heart. Mac loved sports. He loved anything to do with LSU, Ole Miss or Peyton Manning. Mac began his career with Citgo in 1969. For three years, he and his family were transferred to Fort McMurray Alberta, Canada to work for the Tar Sands Plant. He retired from Citgo in 2004. Mac is survived by his wife of 52 years, Betty Smith McMillan; three daughters, Teresa Thibodeaux of Pharr, TX, Patty (Bobby) Simmons of Vinton, LA and Cara (Ross) Giles of Coffeyville, KS; two sisters, Helen Williams and Rachel Sanderson; two brothers, Hilton McMillan and Joe McMillan; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Memorial services for Mac will be held on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 2 pm at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Shirley officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, December 8, 2014 from 8 am until the time of service.
