Carl Preston Johnson

Carl Preston Johnson, 98, passed away on December 15, 2022, in a local care facility.
Carl was born on March 29, 1924, in Lake Charles, LA to Preston and Hilda Johnson. Carl enjoyed going to his camp enjoying the great outdoors, working in his shop, gardening, hunting and fishing, and being around family and friends. He worked in the Oil and Gas Industry for over 35 plus years for Amoco Production. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Hackberry, LA. Carl also proudly served his country in the Navy.
Those left to cherish his memory are his four children, Wanda Oestriecher, Glenda Seay, Stephanie Miller, Blaine Johnson and wife Melisa; 10 grandchildren, Monica, Cliff, Joey, Bo, Coby, Tracy, Ashley, Wiley, Lauren, and Meagan; and 20 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Lou Johnson; parents, Hilda and Preston Johnson; sisters, Gene and Betty; one brother, Gordon ;and one son in law, Cliff Oestriecher.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM on Monday, December 19, 2022, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church Hall. Visitation will resume on Tuesday in the hall until time of services. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Catholic Church Cemetery under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
