Carlton Ann Melancon

Carlton Ann Melancon, 67, of Pitkin, LA, died on Thursday, October 24, 2013 in her residence. Ms. Melancon was born April 3, 1946 in Beaumont, TX, and lived most of her life in Lake Charles. She and her mother were the owners of Nell's Rock and Roll Blue's Café and Bar. She moving to Pitkin four years ago and attended Glay Branch Baptist Church. Ms. Melancon is survived by her children, Wayne Bourque, Jr., Christy Holmes and husband Tim of Illinois, Monique Romero and Monica Garcille; and ten grandchildren. Her memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 28, 2013 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Vincent Guidry will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 AM until the start of the service.
