Carlton Wayne Johnson, Sr. 60, of Starks, Louisiana died on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 3:30 AM peacefully with his loving family at his side. Mr. Johnson was born in DeQuincy, Louisiana and has lived most of his life in Starks. He worked as an Industrial sandblaster for many years. Mr. Johnson loved spending time with his family especially when they had family gatherings. He was the fish fryer. His other hobbies include hunting, fishing, dancing and camping with his family. His CB name was "Coon Hunter". He was a member of Lunita Pentecostal Church. He is survived by his wife Penny Ullman Johnson of Starks, LA, six sons; Charles Wayne Johnson and his wife Rebecca Irene of Vidor, TX; Carlton Wayne Johnson, Jr. of Sulphur, LA, Mark Aaron Johnson and his wife Jackie of Sulphur, LA, Clayton Gore Johnson and wife Crystal of Houston, TX, David Johnson and his wife Jessica of Houston, TX, and Danny Lynn Johnson and wife Jessica of Starks, LA, six grandchildren; Jeremiah Johnson, Brittany Johnson, Meghan Johnson, Jonathan Johnson, Emily Johnson, and Trey Johnson; two great grandchildren; Kaden John Kovac and Kambri Johnson, five sisters; Theresa Ann Stewart and Cathy Hyatt both of Florida, Lisa Lee Chandler of Wolf City, TX, an Anita Marie Doyle of Starks, LA, his parents, Alice Marie and CJ. Johnson both of Starks, LA, one cousin, Robert Lee Hyatt of Starks, LA. Carlton is preceded in death by one sister, Mary Daughtery and cousin, Frank "Pine Knot" Doyle. A memorial service will be hold at a later date. Johnson Funeral Home is in Charge of arrangements.
