On Monday, December 2, 2013, God called from above, and Carlton heard the voice of Jesus saying, "Come Home and Rest". It is with this inspiration that we gather to give praise and honor to his life and home going. March 25, 1942 in Washington, LA, Carlton was born to Carlton, Sr. and Carrie White. He was baptized at an early age and then started his journey. Carlton was employed at Fred's Drive Inn, Chennault Air Force Base, and Cities-Service Refinery and then retired from PPG Industries after working thirty years. He was formerly married to LillianWhite and to this union one son was born, Carlin White and a stepson also James Banks. He then married Nelma DeCloutte. He leaves his memories to be cherished by a devoted son, Carlin "Bones" White; four sisters, Mary Stevens, Ruby (George) Mc Pherson, Linda (Wilford, Jr.) Trahan all of Lake Charles, LA; Betty (Michael) Davenport of LaPlace, LA; two brothers, Sidney White, Arthur (Muriel) White all of Lake Charles; one granddaughter, Taylor Walker of Crowley, LA; two step-grandchildren, Gregory and Kayla Banks; four great grandchildren, Avari, Dajai, Lenhy, and Gregory Banks, Jr.; a special friend, Joyce Randle and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carlton, Sr. and Carrie White; first wife, Lillian White; stepson, James Banks; and brother, Herbert White, Sr. His funeral will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Word of Hope Family Worship Center located at 3975 E. Prien Lake Road, Lake Charles, LA. Pastor Charlie Williams III will officiate. Burial will be at Prien Memorial Park under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Saturday at the church. The family would like to give a special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and hospitals whom took care of him during his lengthy illness.
