Carol Louise Bodin, 81, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024 in a local Care Facility.
Carol was born on June 14, 1943, to Andrew Claiborne and Elizabeth Brown Watkins in Berwick, LA. Shewas a graduate of Berwick High School in St. Mary Parish and later moved to the Ragley area where she raised her family. Carol was a member of St. Pius XCatholic Church where she received a scapula from the Lay Carmelites Society. She loved prayer meetings and had great faith. She was greatly loved and loved to help people.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Keith Bodin (Audria) and Leith Bodin (Ievgeniia); grandchildren, Jacquelyn Bodin, Franchesca Bodin and Josephina Bodin; sisters, Linda Comeaux, Virginia Perry and Judith Haney; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Louis Calvin Bodin.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 18, 2024 at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff with Rev. Jeffrey Starkovich officiating. Burial will take place following the service at Lone Oak Cemetery in Ragley, LA. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home with a rosary at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home Monday from 10:00 am until the start of the service.
The family would like to thank Trooper LeBlanc, Erick Lefranc, Gerald Duplechin, Mitch Martin, Troy Finley, and Chris Gusman for serving as pallbearers for the services.
