Carol Lynn Lyons-Smith, 64, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021 following a lengthy illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.
A lifelong Sulphur resident, Carol graduated from Sulphur High School and attended Louisiana Tech. She worked as a Physical Therapy Technician for West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital for over 20 years. She and her husband loved Renaissance Fairs. Carol especially liked dressing up and participating in the plays. She enjoyed music concerts and loved to cook. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family particularly cheering for her grandchildren in their sport endeavors. She will be remembered for her loving and caring nature. Carol was very outgoing and loved being around others.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of seventeen years, Frank Smith; parents, David “Mutt” and Cuby Lyons of Carlyss; two sons, Jonathan Lyons and wife Jenny of Carlyss, and Jason Wayne Lyons of Sulphur; grandsons, Michael Lyons and Gabriel Lyons.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1pm, Thursday, March 11, 2021 at St. Theresa Catholic Church of Carlyss. Rev. Luke Krzanowski, M.S, will officiate. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in South of Carlyss. Visitation will be 5 – 8pm, Wednesday in Johnson & Robison Funeral Home with a Recitation of the Rosary at 6pm.
