Carol Sonnier

On Thursday, September 22nd 2016, the Lord called Carol Ann LaVergne Sonnier home.  She passed from this world without pain, leaving behind her family to cherish her memory:  Husband Jerry Sonnier of Sulphur, daughter D. Annette Weber and husband Carsten of Sugar Land, TX; son Jerry J “Jimmy” Sonnier of League City, TX; grandchildren Jerry A. “Drew” Sonnier, Sabrina Sonnier, Gabriel Sonnier, Michael Sonnier, Maria Sonnier, and Craig Kelly.  She was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Craig, step-father Dorris LaVergne, mother Erma LaVergne, and son Michael C. “Nicky” Sonnier. 

Miss Carol was a long-time member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Sulphur.  She was a 1960 graduate of Sulphur High School, and also attended McNeese State University.   In her career, Miss Carol worked at Lakeside National Bank, Country Chrysler Plymouth, Don Zeibarth Pontiac, Billy Navarre Chevrolet, and AutoPlex 2000, amongst others, holding various office positions at each.  She was also the owner and proprietor of Carol’s Happy House Day Care.

Services for Carol will be held on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 10 AM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur with Father Andrews Kollannoor, M.S. officiating.  Cremation will follow under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 5-9 PM with a rosary at 6:30 PM and will resume on Monday from 8 AM until the time of service.
