Carolann Marze Bowman, 75, departed this world on June 14, 2012 to be with our Lord and Savior.
Mrs. Bowman was born in Florein, Louisiana and lived in Lake Charles, Louisiana most of her life. She attended Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church in Merryville, Louisiana. She was a bus driver for the Calcasieu Parish School Board for 33 years. She was known for making beautiful wedding and birthday cakes. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She loved all with a big heart and will forever be in all of our hearts and memories. Her family and friends remember her best as the one to share a laugh with or the one to go to for much needed wisdom and strength. Mrs. Bowman was always honest with you and helped point you in the right direction.
She is survived by her children, Charlotte Ann Boudreaux and husband Kenneth, Mark Steven Bowman I and wife Cynthia , all of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Jerry Allen Bowman I and wife Tammie of Venus, Texas; her siblings, Armedie Taylor, Alma Erin both of Anacoco, Louisiana, Alvin Burton Marze of Cleveland, Texas, Isabelle Eaves and Velma Celestia Terrell both of Merryville, Louisiana; her grandchildren, Tara Boudreaux, Jerry Bowman II, April Reyes, Jason Bergeron, Mark Bowman II, Jessica Guillote, and Kirsten Malliette; her great grandchildren, Steven Ray Bowman, Shane Flagstaff, Taylor Flagstaff, Violet Reyes, Isabel Reyes, Kasandra Guillote, Emma-Leigh Guillote, Jayden Bergeron, and Kaden Bergeron.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Mitchell Bowman, her father, James David Marze and mother, Odessa Marze; her siblings, Veramay Taylor, Roxie Miller, Archie Marze, Sadie Bowman, Josie Harper, Everette Marze and Marie Chaney; her grandchild, Steven Ray Bowman and her great-grandchild, Madison Bergeron.
Carolann Bowman lived a long and joyous life with her family. In her later years she enjoyed life with her family and "them" loving sisters.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 16, 2012 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Truman Keel will officiate. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake. Visitation Friday will be from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue Saturday from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
