Carole Anne Coward, of Lake Charles, passed away on December 8, 2024 in her home. She was born on September 5, 1939, to William McConnell Robertson and Anne Mae Strachota Robertson in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Carole was known for her warm and caring nature. A loving mother to her two children and grandmother to four, she took great joy in watching her family grow. Her love and dedication to her family were unwavering, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
In her younger years, Carole developed a deep love for traveling and spent much of her time exploring the United States. She was an avid gardener and fisherwoman, finding peace and joy in the outdoors. In her later years, Carole settled in Lake Charles, Louisiana, where she formed lasting friendships and continued to embrace her passions. She especially loved playing bridge with her close-knit group of friends.
Carole is survived by her son, Steven Coward; her two sisters, Patricia Robertson Perry and Rebecca Robertson Linsky; and her four grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her two parents, William McConnell Robertson and Anne Mae Strachota Robertson; her brother, William Roscoe Robertson; and her daughter, Kelley Anne Coward.
Carole's presence brightened the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of kindness, joy, and love will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A memorial service to honor Carole's life will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. Visitation will be open to the public starting at 10:00 a.m.
She will be forever remembered and missed by those who loved her.
