Carolyn Ann Bellomo Brocato Seiford

Carolyn Ann Bellomo Brocato Seiford, 69, of Moss Bluff died at 10:45 PM on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 in her residence. Carolyn was born on January 10, 1945 in Lake Charles and resided in the Lake Charles/Moss Bluff area all of her life. She was a graduate of LaGrange Senior High School. Carolyn worked for the Calcasieu Parish School Board's extended day program at Moss Bluff Elementary for 17 years. In her free time she played bingo and pokeno. During her earlier years she enjoyed bowling. Carolyn will be remembered for her "on the go" personality, always willing and ready for anything. She most enjoyed cooking for family gatherings and especially took pride in her grandchildren. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 35 years, George "Tony" Seiford; 2 daughters, Rebecca "Becky" Brocato Guillory and husband Kenny and Melissa "Missy" Brocato Nunez and husband Chris all of Moss Bluff; a step daughter, Dana Seiford Reed and husband Todd of Ragley; a sister, Josie Anderson and husband Richard of Cudahy, WI; two brothers, Joseph "JC" Bellomo and wife Melba of Moss Bluff and David Bellomo of Corning, CA; eight grandchildren, Brandt, Brooke, and Brennon Nunez, Gavan Guillory, Hanson and Harrison Augustine, and Lindsay and Lexi Reed; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leda and Anthony "Tony" Bellomo as well as her guardians, Frank and Francis Bellomo; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Harriet and George Seiford; a special person, Rose Grace Cooper; and a brother, Joe Bellomo. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 12, 2014 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. John Huckaby will officiate. Burial will follow in New Ritchie Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Amedisys Hospice and Home Health for their exceptional care and love shown during this difficult time. Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Brandt, Brennon, Gavan, and Hanson as well as Jeff Anderson, Aaron Cain, and Brandon Miller.
