Carolyn Ann Hebert Sylvester, 67, of Lake Charles died Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Sylvester was born, raised and has lived most of her life in Lake Charles. A graduate of Marion High School, she attended McNeese State University and was also a graduate of Demmon's School of Beauty and Brookhaven Nursing School in Dallas, TX. Having retired from Christus St. Patrick's Hospital, Mrs. Sylvester dedicated twenty-five years as a Registered Nurse.
She enjoyed, baking, vegetable gardening and deer hunting. Mrs. Sylvester was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and their rosary team.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband, F.J. Sylvester of Holmwood; three daughters, Anne Motamedi and husband Nasser of Houston, TX, Elizabeth Mann and husband Christopher of Colleyville, TX and Kourtney Kackley and husband Shannon of Frisco, TX; one step- daughter, Julie Doland and husband Patrick of Holmwood; six grandsons; one step-grandson; one step granddaughter; one sister, Annette Pronia and husband Leroy of Lake Charles; many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard C. Hebert and Audrey Trouard Hebert.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM Friday, March 25, 2011 from the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception. Monsignor Harry Greig will officiate. Interment will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation Thursday will be from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue Friday from 8:00 AM until 12:45 PM in the funeral home.
