Carolyn Arcement Conner

August 18, 1936 — January 16, 2012

Carolyn Claire Arcement Conner, 75, died at 5:50 AM, on Monday, January 16, 2012, in a local care facility.


Born in Morgan City, LA to Dewey and Maggie Driskill Arcement, Mrs. Conner lived most of her life in Lake Charles. She was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church. She retired as a Certified Nurses' Aide at W. O. Moss Regional Hospital. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.


Mrs. Conner is survived by her son, Stephen Conner, Jr., and wife Jackie of Lake Charles; daughter-in-law Ramona Conner of Grand Lake; five grandchildren, Brandon, Kelly, Ross, Jenna and Justin Conner; one great grandchild, Ethan Conner, affectionately known to MawMaw as, "Little Boy;" four sisters, Pat Guidry of Mobile, AL, Peggy Hebert of San Antonio, TX, Martha McCool of Philadelphia, MS, and Susan Welch and her husband Aubrey of Vinton; five brothers, Kenneth Dunnagan , Larry Arcement and wife Val, Dickie Arcement and wife Nancie, and Ned Arcement and wife Lynn, all of San Antonio, TX; and Dewey Arcement and wife Earline of Kaplan.


She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-three years, Stephen Conner, Sr. and her son, Roger Conner.


Funeral services will be will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, January 18, 2012 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Wayne Dartez will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation Tuesday will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM in the funeral home.
