Carolyn Ecker

Carolyn Bess "Betsy" McReynolds Ecker passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 in a local hospital. Mrs. Ecker was born August 01, 1939 in Norman, OK, was a graduate of Valley High School in Louisville, KY and attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 53 years, Jacob E. Ecker of Lake Charles; three children, John Jacob (Jay) Ecker and wife Laura, Lake Charles; Stephanie Lynn Ecker Marrero and husband Jose, Austin TX; Joseph Earl Ecker and fiancé Tina Renee Wing, Sulphur; honorary daughter, Susan Parker Weaver and husband Paul, Westlake; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She also leaves three brothers, John Edwin McReynolds and wife Linda, Baytown TX; Patrick Henry McReynolds and wife Carol, Genoa, AR; Michael Earl McReynolds and wife Julie, Baytown, TX and one sister, Ruth Anita McReynolds, Carrollton, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Edwin McReynolds and Helen Carolyn Oursler McReynolds and great grandson Austin Dwayne Wareham. Betsy's eyes were donated to the Southern Eye Bank. Memorial donations may be made to Temple Sinai. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Temple Sinai, 713 Hodges Street, Lake Charles.
