Carolyn H. Guillotte

December 22, 1944 — February 20, 2016

Carolyn Elizabeth Harris Guillotte, 71, of Moss Bluff, LA, went to be with the Lord at 1:52 PM on Saturday, February 20, 2016 in a local hospital.

 

Mrs. Guillotte was born December 22, 1944 in Alexandria, LA, lived in Westlake most of her life before moving to Moss Bluff fifteen years ago. She was a 1962 graduate of Westlake High School. She was a charter member of Westwood Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for a number of years. Mrs. Guillotte collected Coca Cola memorabilia and enjoyed beach combing. She also loved to write, from cards to letters, and she never missed a birthday. Her true passion in life was for her family and her grandchildren.

 

Mrs. Guillotte is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, Curtis Guillotte; son, Kevin Guillotte of Lake Charles; step-daughter, Donna Marshall and husband Greg of Iowa, LA; sisters, Dorothy Marilyn Thompson of Westlake and Janis Ruth Blake of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Logan Guillotte, Mason Guillotte, Joe Marshall and wife Barbie, Abby Benny and husband Derek, Lillian, Elizabeth, Adelyn, Ruth, Sarah and Emma Marshall; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Ryder and Titus; and her pen pal of over twenty years, Cavita Sharma and family of Houston, TX.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Dorothy Harris; and brother, George Robert Harris.

 

Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 26, 2016 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Jaceson Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
