Carolyn Janet Vincent

Carolyn Janet “Connie” Vincent, age 80, a lifelong resident of Sulphur,  passed Thru Heaven’s Gates on  Wednesday October12, 2022. She spent the last years of her life with her daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and Michael Clements in Marrero, La. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and nanny. She was happiest when taking care of others and baking for the family.

 Connie was the wife of the late Joesph Clyde “JC” Vincent of Sulphur. Born December 16, 1941 eldest child of the late Willery A. Sonnier Sr. and Waver Chaisson Sonnier of Sulphur.

 She is survived by one daughter, Samantha Lynn Clements and husband Michael G Clements of Marrero, LA; and one brother, Willery A. Sonnier Jr. and wife Pal Richard Sonnier.

Blessed with 7 grandchildren, Amanda Stewart, Tabatha Pitt (Derrick), William Joesph “Joey” Clements (Lauryn), Michael G Clements Jr. (Faith), Steven Clements (Malory), Christy Douroux (Charles)and Ashley Gabriel (Joseph); 10 Great Grand Children, Keeley East, Haley Burch, Madison Burch, Kaylynn Davenport, Zeava Pitt, Koralyne Pitt, Landon Meaux,  Mason Douroux, Noah Douroux and Journey Gabriel. With two more great grand-children on the way, Steven Brian “SJ” Clements due November and August Michael “Auggie” Clements due December of this year 2022; one great-great grandson, Da’Mir Sion; surrounded by nephews and nieces from both sides of the family. Including Fred “Bubba” Lopez, Rene Duhon, Angie Romero, Janice Lopez Little, Casey Sonnier, Cody Sonnier, Joshua Sonnier and Joy Sonnier and Mark Vincent, Roxanne Ogea, Judy Richard, Carol Ann Bourge, Bonita Stewart, Mike Cormier, Sirena Estes, Monte Vincent, Kala Phillips, Steven Vincent, Ronald and Donald Vincent.

 She was preceded in death by one sister, Wilma Duhon; four brothers, Edgar, Jack, Billy and Marty Sonnier; and two nephews, Brian Mitchel and Jason Vincent.

 Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 2 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday morning from 11 A.M. with a rosary at noon till time of the service.  Burial will follow the service at Big Woods Cemetery under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
