Carolyn Perkins Schexneider

Carolyn Joann Schexneider, 73, of Moss Bluff passed away Saturday, June 02, 2012 in a local healthcare facility.

Mrs. Schexneider was born raised and educated in Hornbeck, LA and has lived most of her life in Moss Bluff. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping and gardening with her husband. She was formerly a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Mrs. Schexneider was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, taking great pride in caring for her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband of fifty-seven years, Roger Schexneider of Moss Bluff; five children, Connie Brown and husband Phil of Lafayette, Roger C. Schexneider and wife Wanda of Moss Bluff, Tammy Hanks and husband Anthony of Sulphur, Steven R. Schexneider and wife Jeannie of Westlake and Charlotte Manuel and husband Kirk of Moss Bluff; sixteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Rachel Jones and husband Cedrick of Shreveport and Joyce McGinnis of Anacoco and her dearest friends, Buck and Ruth Dailey of Moss Bluff.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra A. Schexneider; grandson, Marlin Trahan; her parents, one brother and three sisters.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 06, 2012 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Glenn Massey will officiate. Interment will follow in Ritchie Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
