Carrie Elizabeth Hughes Brown

Carrie Elizabeth Hughes Brown, 91, of Shreveport, LA, died at 4:28 PM on Friday, July 3, 2015 in a local care facility. Mrs. Brown was born April 6, 1924 in Moscow, TX and lived most of her life in Shreveport, LA until moving to Lake Charles a few years ago to be closer to family. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Shreveport. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and found great joy in her travels. Mrs. Brown is survived by her son, Don Brown and wife Gail of Lake Charles; granddaughter, Courtney Devers and husband Keith of Shreveport; and great-grandchildren, Michael, Haley, Paige, and Kathryn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Fieldon Brown. A memorial service will be held at First Methodist Church in Shreveport, LA on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 10:00 AM.
