Carrie Gallow Prejean

Carrie Gallow Prejean, 61, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 4:40 PM on Saturday, July 22, 2017 in her residence.

Mrs. Prejean was born June 16, 1956 in Lake Charles, LA, where she was a lifelong resident and graduated from Lake Charles High School. She worked as a Sales Associate at Wal-Mart on Nelson Road for thirty years and was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Carrie loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and also enjoyed cooking, traveling, and playing Pokeno.

Mrs. Prejean is survived by her children, DeShone Chretien of Lake Charles and Marckel Thomas and wife Sandra of Houston, TX; brother, Anthony Gallow of Lake Charles; sister, Bessie Gallow of Westlake; grandchildren, Zene Chretien, Ariana Thomas and Alexis Thomas; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Prejean; parents, Viola and Rodney Gallow; and brother, Michael Gallow.

Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. As per Carrie’s request, the family will have a private graveside at a later date.
