Carrie Manuel Caldarera

Carrie Manuel Caldarera, 63, of Lake Charles, LA died at 1:20 PM on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in a local hospital. Carrie was born August 4, 1950 in Lake Charles, LA, where she lived most of her life. She was a 1968 graduate of LaGrange Senior High School and enjoyed interior decorating and design. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed movie trivia. She will be remembered as a very giving, kind, thoughtful and funny woman who was full of spirit. Carrie is survived by her daughter, Robin Clark and husband David; boyfriend, James "Mike" Ferguson; brother, Steve Manuel and wife Kathy; sister, June Ann Manuel and her soul mate Melanie Boone; cousin and close friend, Cheryl Manuel Ramuar; nephews, Tyler and Nick Manuel; and her beloved dog, Bug. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hosea and Hazel Manuel. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. The family will have a private service at a later date. The family would like to express a special word of thanks to Dr. David Muguku, the 7th Floor nursing staff at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, and Amedisys Hospice for all the care given to Carrie.
