Carrol Desormeaux, 76, of Vinton, LA passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Mr. Desormeaux was born June 18, 1937 in Hayes, LA and graduated from Vinton High School. He retired as a production supervisor from Bayer Chemical in Orange, TX. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vinton, LA, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Desormeaux was also a member of the McNeese Cowboy Club. His most cherished times were spent with his family. During his younger years, he also enjoyed going fishing, golfing, and spending time in his boat. Mr. Desormeaux is survived by his children, Randy Desormeaux of Lake Charles, Tammy McCaughey and husband Brett of Vinton, and Susan Courmier of Sulphur, LA; close friend and companion, Gwen Aguillard; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As per his wishes, Carrol was cremated. His memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. with a rosary at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vinton, LA. Rev. Susil Fernando will officiate. His cremation was entrusted to Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vinton, LA
