Catherine Annette Moreau of Lake Charles, LA died Friday, August 19, 2016 in a local hospital.
Annette was born in Lake Charles, LA to Simon and Anna Belle Maneille. In earlier years, she was a technician at Lake Charles Mental Health; she retired as a pharmacy technician at W.O. Moss Regional Hospital and later retired as a cashier from the 12th street Kroger Store. She enjoyed watching TV, being around her grandchildren, and taking care of her pet cats, Stella, Zelda, Vito and Larry. Annette was fascinated with the entertainment industry, especially Hollywood. She was an entertainer in her own right, Kroger shoppers preferring her checkout register for her sardonic wit, and she was once offered a role in a theatrical production. She had great passion for heated political discussions, always arguing from the far right of the political spectrum. As a teenager and until her death, she was an avid Elvis fan.
She is survived by her daughter –in- law, Tina Moreau Pierce; three grandchildren, Aaron Moreau, Haleigh Culbreath and Tim, and Emily Moreau; two great grandchildren, Laewyn Culbreath and Nixon Moreau; five siblings, Michael Maneille and Annette, Nancy Guillet and Jean, Patricia Nevils and Monte, Teresa Reppond and Rick, and Monica Veillon; her favorite niece, Marisa Veillon, and numerous other nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son, Eric Wayne Moreau; her parents; and one brother, Richard Andrew Maneille.
